About me & these stories

Hello, and welcome to my short stories, which tend to be weird. They’re often set in the future or an off-beat present, and contain lots of action. I love strong female characters. I hope you enjoy them, and I’d love your feedback.

My latest writing newsflashes are:

My story ‘Surgeon Scalpelfingers’ is coming out in Midnight Echo 6. This is exciting and terrifying due to the great talent in there. Here’s the cover.

Also, Dead Red Heart, the Australian vampire anthology has just been published! My story ‘Deathborn Light,’ about a vampire mumma defending her bubba, is in there : ) You can go here to order a copy.

Also, my unpublished novel, Black Earth, has now fallen out of the Amazon Breakthrough Award. But that’s okay! It made it through the first round of the ABNA, Young Adult section. So it was in the bunch of 500 that were selected from about 5000 submissions. I’m chuffed to have gotten that far!

It got a good review, too, which you can read here.

I can’t wait to see what you end up getting published in the Machine anthology you told me about. Good luck. Checking some of these.

Thanks, Draven! I’ve written one, but I’m not sure if it’s the one I want to submit. It’s an awesome concept, and I loved the first book. (Machine of Death is what we be talkin’ about. It’s a jolly good read.)
